Source of inspiration 109 (click on this link!): Trojan Horse

Beware of Greeks baring gifts…

The Trojan War is a legendary conflict due to the abduction of Helen, the queen of Sparta, by the Trojan prince Pâris. The Greeks decided to attack Troy.

After besieging Troy for ten years, the Greeks decided to attack by surprise. Epeios built a huge hollow wooden horse. A group of soldiers lead by Ulysses hid inside it.

The Trojans accepted the big horse, thinking it was a gift from the Gods. During the night, the Greek soldiers came out and opened the town gates to let the rest of the army into the city. The Trojan men were killed and their sons, daughters and wives were enslaved.

The myth of the Trojan Horse is attributed to Homer as told in the Iliad. This story is famous because it shows how cruel and clever men can be.

Why not create big box-like present and, when the box is opened, it’s a big explosion of ribbons, confetti and laughter!
